Thanks so much for this. So many mysteries about this recording, there is no discography info on this and I don't think this ever made it to LP. Why is this a B side? The mastery of tempo, the beautiful shading of voice and the emotion shown by Lucy Ann Polk is amazing! The arrangement is likely by Sy Oliver, but sounds a lot like what Ralph Burns did with Woody Herman for Frances Wayne ( Happiness is Just a Thing Called Joe). Imagine if someone had thought to interview Lucy Ann Polk!

Récúerdos de mi jubentud . Nelson 1937 .
I love this version of this song. They played this song at Monterey , plus the Bless it's Pointed Little Head version and it didn't sound as good. I don't know if they olayed the guitars different or if it's the sound system.
This version is my favorite one. Even other versions by the Jefferson Airplane don't sound as good. The guitars sound different. I don't know if they're playing the guitars different or if it's just the sound equipment.
K rolon. Yo le tome atencion y me gusto en 1971
I don't know much about swing but 6 of my current favourite songs are swing. This is one of them. I heard it when I had my friend over, we were listening to this and I was "damn, what's thing song called?!" Bro said "murder at Peyton hall" and I said "this song and the title goes hard"
Lip sync live.
kind of songs...straight to ur DNA...CLASSIC...❤😂
SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SONG HITS THe RIGHT CORD WITH ME. WISH WE WERE BACK IN 66.
Never heard this rendition before.
God I love this song! Way underrated in my opinion like..... I would much listen to these guys than the grateful dead.I know people are gonna hate on me for saying that..... Although anthem of the sun, that was a fucking great album
Marty Balin was obviously no "Golden Glover."
The Japs and the Nazis thought they could defeat a people who do things like this.
That was the fastest tempo at which I have heard this played .
this is so nice
まーめ、豆、豆、豆、豆、マーメッ♪
"Under My Thumb" precursor Paint it Black I understand fully.
Never tire of this.
My goodness there was enough energy in that performance to power several midwestern states energy needs for a 24 hour period. Plus Buddy could not only drum that hard but I am pretty sure he was chewing gum at the same time!
Chicano power
All of his recordings sound the same. A machine showing off how fast it can play. Is this music?
I was at a lady's house for a meditation circle. She had a whole collection of toddler-sized dolls. I was new to meditating, so while everyone else was doing their thing, I was sitting there looking around the darkened house. I looked over toward the room with the dolls, and I swear that one of them leaned over and looked back at me!
This is mx 2944-A, also found on Cameo. Sounds real good! (The CBS chronological LP series claimed to have this take, but goofed and included the Nov 1926 Vocalion version instead. Oops.)
At some point this was edited in two spots, first time to swing cymbal mounted on bass drum down, as trumpet player stepped close, likely to clear for camera angles during his floor tom thing. Second edit was when cymbal was back in upright position just before camera moved to focus on the dancing ladies. Buddy was an animal right up until he died and technically incredible.
Out of sight! And if the music was not enough, they throw in some twirling gams at the end. What a bunch of rock n rollers!
What a great orchestra Artie Shaw had i especially enjoyed his orchestra when it had a string section he was certainly better then today's crap when musicians knew how to play there instruments?
Rock And Roll vom aller besten.
Before Jefferson Airplane. A very psych long wonderful song. And Grace Slick was so beautiful
Eddie Safranski is an underrated bass maestro
Love this album; thank you!!
One of the best Jazz moments in History. Everyone in trance with Paul Gonsalves solo. I heard there were live versions with over 70 chorus solo.
Fantástica, una de mis canciones favoritas de los 60s,tuve el single español,y luego compré 2 Los del label Cameo, norteamericanos!!!

MOSH PIT!
Look at those moves, go Mark.
Oh, to have been there! One of life's great moments.
I love this song but why 99 tears?
96. not 99
May have been only 3 minutes or whatever but they nailed it for eternity. Saw them in Jan 67 in Chicago when I was 10. I would nearly have sworn they did about a ten minute version of this with the bass player laying on the ground through part of it. Or so my memory through nearly 60 years says.
I love this band . so good so fine . I love them all the time. BAM.
Excellent !
Does anyone know what make/ model is the bass guitar in this video?
The cheeriest song about revenge I've ever heard!
A 22 year old Annie Ross here. Fantastic lyric writing to the tune of Wardell Gray's sax performance in the original. It seemed a little low in her vocal range, but she managed perfectly.
My draft date was 9-3-1952. Draft stopped before I got there.
Frank Rosolino on trombone!
This guy can move like the best Reggae stars of the 70s and 80s ,actually has similar steps , im like wow
